The DLC was a hotfix/weapons patch.
From a 15+ year MMO veteran and 20+ year RPG Gamer, The Dark Below does not qualify as an "expansion", as it expanded on nothing.
Recycled areas and weapon skins, one Raid and a couple of Strikes is a -blam!-ing joke for the money we payed.
Highly, highly disappointed.

Necrochasm is identical to mur mur and that kinda annoys me. It should be unique like vex.
-
For real tho... 20$ for 5$ of content. Instead of coming up with new gear they just updated the old ones...
-
and of course took the old ones away.. the new weapons have super shitty perks.
-
its not even $5 content.
-
Dude I couldn't have said it better myself. I wish the weapons at least had different cool upgrades but all that's different about the weapons is the looks and the damage. I did kind of like the new strike but they could've added more than just one, or some kind of objective other than killing an ultra.
-
Wow you act like you paid another 60 bucks or more. It was 20 bucks man. I wipe my ass with $20 bills.
-
I paid 60$ for a game that had content ripped out of it and then had to pay 20$ to get half of the missing content back... We got slapped
-
No your wrong..you paid 60 for content. The content you can't access is another 20.
-
Why don't you just buy toilet paper with the money? Some people are just weird

We ran out at the campground......😉

Edited by Vulper: 12/23/2014 1:50:23 AMIts not about the money its about the quality. If they don't want to give us the quality we want we won't put the food on their tables. Its a business, any good business knows you need yo keep your customers happy. Even losing 10% of customers is a huge blow.

Glad you do lol

We needed an entire new galaxy to fix this mess.
-
All we need is something like a Destiny version of Path of Exile (supposedly created by pissed off Diablo 3 players).
-
Agreed.

It wasn't an 'expansion'. It was a raid tier. You know this. Typical MMO's release raid tiers for free, but charge a monthly sub. Destiny has no monthly sub, and so charges for it's raid tiers. Please tell me you can see this.
-
Thank you all of your comments on this post coincide with my own thoughts on this.
-
But this isn't an MMO. if it was, I would be paying a subscription and getting an actual good MMO
-
You're right. This isn't an MMO. Which is why the whole "this isn't an expansion; the content is way less than what WoW gives" argument is idiotic. But if that comparison DID hold water, then Destiny's expansions WOULD be raid tiers.
-
Then again this isent a raid tier. A raid tier adds an extra level to the content, that you still need to pass the prior stuff to continue. This removed relevance from VoG and turn it to a farming ground for ascendent mats and gave everyone gear to do the next raid.
-
To use WoW as an example, you didnt need Heart of Fear gear to run Throne of Thunder. You didn't need Throne of Thunder gear to run Siege of Orgrimmar. They just helped, like Vault gear does for Crota. But I could grind out Valor/Conquest points for gear that was either similar, or better, than the last tier of raid gear. MMO's usually have some sort of catch up mechanism nowadays, so that guilds don't have to run newbies through old content, and newbies don't have to look for less-progressed guilds. Destiny is no different.

Yup it has as much value as a song pack for rock band
