So I'm not entirely sure what he's trying to say? The only difference is that those of us with the DLC can get to 32

Yup, raid gear will get you to 32, but you can only do raid if you purchased expansion. Vendor gear is available to all players and you can get to 31. Not sure what he's talking about with night falls though.

I think it's cause you can only play the nightfall if someone who has DLC is host?

I think there is a bug. Seems people can't get into nightfall/weekly w/o expansion. I would think bungie would address that. Don't think they would take that away from core game.
