I agree this error code is very dumb. I got the expansion pass Saturday night and the same exact thing happened to me where as soon as I went into the game it would give the 1.5mb 75mb and 770kb updates and then go to error code wasp. Uninstalled and it wouldn't reinstall for hours and finally just left it over night and it finished and worked.
AND now it's happening again. Ridiculous, but as I'm posting this it miraculously loaded so I hope they find a solution to fix this problem, it seems that it's just trying to reinstall updates that it has already installed therefore producing and error?

i think it is because 10 bazillion people are all trying to download the update at the same time? i waited a few hours and it got a little better but still wasp error on the second download. i wonder if it thinks it is a ddos attack with that many people hitting the server at the same time? wasp sounds like a stinger kind of thing and maybe that is what is happening. i will wait until about 6-10 pm tonight and try it again. yes i reset the xb1 console to factory and re-downloaded destiny vanguard digital edition. that completed successfully. it starts fine but still fails with wasp on the update after you press A to play, after trying to download the update for a bit and getting no response..

Exactly the same thing has happened to me! The most annoying thisng is that I've been off school all day and I cant even play Destiny! I would be miles into the dark below by now! Screw You Bungie! I've been a loyal follower for years!

Having the same problems. Ever since the Dark Below up dates strafed rolling out. And it only has a problem while updating. I can play Destiny for hours on end on my network without a problem but as soon as I have to download an update all hell breaks lose and I can't play. I'm getting error codes wasp and from time to time turtle.
