It would be nice if they limit the range of pistols, they currently can out damage a scout rifle at long range which defeats the purpose of pistols being a close range weapon. Personally, I hardly die to pistols, it's mostly machine guns these days, and lack of having decent team mates.

The problem is you are viewing them as standard issue pistols from COD or another shooter. These are NOT secondary sidearms, they are primary weapons. The term hand cannon implies more power than "pistol". Hope that helps...

I don't know why you would use hand cannons at 'long-range'. 'Medium-range' is alright for hand cannons. That said... Most players (should) use the "low recoil" perk instead of the "Range & Accuracy" perk that way you can turn around corners like a boss and pop dem headshots all day long ;)

Edited by boff: 12/8/2014 12:03:52 PMthe major advantage of hand canons is the range...taking that away would be taking away a large part of what a hand canon is meant to be

Haha.. have you tried aiming with a hand Canon long range though? It is bloody hard, more like a spray and pray. So if someone gets you across the map, he's good.

I have had 2 shot kills long range with hawkmoon, I'm not talking out my ass. It has no damage drop at all for long range, extremely easy and predictable recoil. I understand people want to feel like bosses killing people using AR etc with pistols, but you really can't defend a broken mechanic.

Ah but the hawk moon is an exception my friend, you can literally snipe with that thing. Not true with other hand canons.
