Atheons epilogue is near useless. Don't upgrade, or waste your time.
I upgraded it fully maxed. So shut up with the BS. This gun is decent for oracles, but horrible for supplicants, and well --- everything else. Unless u just want to bring down Minotaur shields, and do level 2 patrols. It's junk. I pulled out the vanquisher which needs three more upgrades- 21 energies.. It kills oracles, suplicants, hobgoblins, and whatever. I'm sorry I wasted ascendant energy on this POS. So what. It's void. It's useless except on oracles. One clip on vanquisher takes out 2 oracles. Same with AE. Only my vanquisher isn't maxed out.

edit 1. For all u epilogue lovers. Okay it's not a POS. My one fire team friend told me to pulse this thing like a pulse rifle. The game lags so the epilogue is actually killing enemies, and shots are still being fired into their corpse.. It's just 2 - 3 bursts from across the vault to kill a supplicant. Much nicer. I was getting tired of sniping, and burning special ammo on supplicants.

Well I like epilogue it -blam!-s just about anything vex. Recoil on It isn't bad so it's easy to get crits with it. I use the ammo perk with glass half full you have more shots doing more damage.

I would prefer Vison of Confluence over Epilogue. It's a primary with nice Solar Damage, 27 round mag, and I usually whack an Oracle with half the clip. And Don't even get me started on Corrective Measure. That Machine Gun is soo good at slaying Oracles and its got up to 100 round clips, very useful in the raid.

4 RepliesWhile I like Atheon's Epilogue; on those rare times that I break away from my beloved Scout Rifles, I grab my Shadow Price out of my vault. Shadow Price is the damn near perfect Auto Rifle, IMO. (Opinion is based off of not having been able to try Suros Regime. I hear that it's like Shadow Price, but even better)

Useful for void burn nightfalls, and that's only because it's currently the only void damage primary weapon, other than that, I wholly agree with you. Even the Time Piece seems to be a better weapon.

Beaten the raid multiple times on hard still haven't pulled it have every thing else though.

It is a lousy gun. However, if it is the only raid primary weapon you come across, it is worth it to max out because otherwise you'll be constantly letting your team down in the hard raid.

It has two uses: Voidburn strikes Void shielded enemies Other than that, the gun is garbage. Even with the upgraded stability and range, the gun is crap at anything beyond a couple of meters. And in PvP it is complete and utter shit. Trying to do the Thorn bounty with an Epilogue is just infuriating.

It's annoying but it has its uses. In the atheon fight when relic holder goes middle I can empty 3 clips into him taking almost half his health.

I like my Epilogue all the way up to the Gatekeepers then I switch to Vision of Confluence. It's much easier to take out supplicants with the VoC imo

2 RepliesEach set of guns (example atheons epilouge , dr nope , unwilling soul no9 ) are the same basic gun but for that set atheons epilouge is the top dog . Im not saying its good ( its not ) but for all the guns that have the same stats the epilouge is the best. I dont use it i would rather slam my hunters face into an oracle than use that weak ass pellet hose. Use fatebringer or found verdict Best gun for oracles is corrective measures seen one guy on hard breeze all 7 oracles like a damn boss.

It's my go-to gun for everything besides PVE anymore. Mows through conflux minotaurs, praetorian shields, oracles etc. It also murders in void burn heroics. Any void main is pretty awesome to pair with solar and arc secondary/heavy. Strikes with different elemental shields are a breeze bc I never have to switch guns and lose ammo.

On raids I run atheons epilogue with plan c, use the epilogue to take out pesky praetorian shields, then switch to plan c to kill everything else. But once I get to atheon I switch to vex mytho and praedyths revenge. Works quite well for me. For both setups I run hezen vengeance

It is a very good fun and takes out Minotaur shields pretty fast. Some weapons are better for supplicants but all this depends on player taste. Just because you don't like the weapon or can't use it doesn't mean it's bad.

It's quite good for me. I didn't like the high fire rate/high recoil type of weapons but with the stability perk it is definitely manageable.

If you like fast firing auto rifles there is no better gun, especially for VOG
