The RNG can be a son of a bitch sometimes, but you probably don't bitch when it works out in your favor.
I finished the raid on hard on Monday, and Atheon dropped the Battlecage of Kabr (the last piece that I needed to get to 30), a Vex Mythoclast, and the Aspect of Glass. When I told my friends of my good fortune they were like, "Sweet", or "Congrats".
I have done raids where I have gotten nothing but ascendant materials and Chatterwhite, but I have also pulled Hawkmoon, Truth, and the Vex Mythoclast from the raid so I can't complain too much.

No I got the "point of the point" as you put it (you truly are a wordsmith). But I see a lot of complaining in your post. You do know that the R in RNG means random right? That means some people will get extremely lucky, and some will be extremely unlucky. Over time it will generally even out. I remember reading in the DLC notes that there were going to change the way that the raid drops work moving forward so that you don't receive so many duplicate drops or don't go numerous raids without getting some "fun" items.
