who cares if the exotic upgrade keeps 300 base attack stat after Xur

The perks are some of the coolest parts of an exotic. Not to mention my time spent (which I don't have much of) Also... take into account PVP, the attack stat is Meaningless. the Perks are the biggest factor. So they are telling me I have to waste time on leveling up that gun again until I can use it in PVP again? What a slap in the face. Again... I still state this is a HUGE mistake, and unless Bungie does a 180 on this, they have lost my trust, and support of this game.

Just to add dude. For example that if someone who keeps his max exotic with a base dmg of 300 vs a dude with an increase base dmg of 400 on a max exotic. Someone is gonna die real fast real soon regardless of the armor if its + or not. From an IB PoV. Increased dmg is also beautiful for PvE, makes it a lot easier.

... If it's attack is useless in PVP and you want just the perks for PVP.... why the hell would you choose to upgrade it then? That's your own horrible decision. Quit blaming Bungie for your own poor decision making and misunderstanding.

    • No reason to upgrade for PVP, unless you are doing IB in which case Damage does matter. Terrible post.

        • ReesesPieces101 doesn't know what the frock she's talking about. Ignore her... Damage matters to PvPers.

        • If that's what you're worried about as a pvp player, you could just stack bounties across your characters, and then buy the upgrade. 20 bounties should propel you back to the exotic ability no problem. Especially if the weapons take less exp to level than before. Did I miss anything?

          • All I'm saying and the reason everyone is pissed is, a person that spent the time and leveled the exotic, should be worth more than one that has no time/ unleveled. Rather it be a discount on the glimmer cost if 7k, not needing an exotic shard if the one you are trading in is maxed out. Or half of your progress is unlocked on the new weapon

Then don't upgrade it. You'll be missing out on a tiny bit of additional damage. No big deal, really.

              • They mentioned that the new exotic will progress faster than an old exotic. So honestly it's not a huge loss. In a mater of a couple days, you'll have all the perks back and all will be right in the world of destiny. So don't worry so much. I do wish we could just continue to upgrade without redoing everything but it's not too bad. Could be worse. We could've had to still use ascendant materials AND an exotic shard. So be thankful it's not that lol.
