I don't know about you, but I'm more than [i]slightly[/i] concerned that 90% of the hours I've [i]invested[/i] in this game, just turned out to be in[b][i]wasted[/i][/b] hours.
Prior to this announcement I had no thoughts of ever leaving this game... But this. This. This. This is just absolutely ridiculous.
There is no way I will waste my time improving my gear only to throw it away everytime there's DLC coming out. It's just not happening.

Oh it must be so hard to level an Exotic weapon you truly enjoy so that you can further your damage with said weapon. What's wrong with getting a little more out of your weapon? It's far from wasted as all your damage will still apply, you'll be dealing less now that Nightfall, etc is all going to bump up to 30 but once you hit 32 it'll balance back out.

Im stupid? Im not the limited experience console gamer who doesnt understand gear tiers. They could have easily made it so the exotics didnt upgrade. Essentially you are getting a tier 2 exotic. If that means Im stupid so be it, better than a whining, petulant child.

let me repost this here for you Because you can opt for not upgrading it either. not like you cant buy the mets and I mean EVERY mat you would need minus the ones for each specific class being Plasteel, hadronic, sapphire stuffs. So you are outraged why? also you need 1/ONE/UNO Exotic Shard that you can also BUY or get from breaking down exotics you dont need or want. all you have is time to run bounties and strikes to relevel up your gear. Quit being a bitch and man up and get the -blam!- over it

At least they have the option to upgrade your favorite gear, so it can level as the game does. They could of just left all your goodies in the dust and told you to -blam!- yourself lololol. There is an option to level a few of your most prized possessions., it could have been a shite sight worse, my friend. :) There will be new guns and new gear, perhaps you will end up liking one of those better than what you use now. I think people are forgetting about the new shit that is coming. Granted, we did put many hours into leveling gear, but the goal is always to progress, level up, get better shit, ya know?

Probably have to start over to make it a more even playing field for everyone.... Some people don't have exotics, or legendaries, and of course Christmas noobs won't have jack shit.... if everyone could keep their good gear and just level it up with a node... it would probably make a noticible gap/advantage between newer and older players, especially in PVP. [not that I care, I'm not into PVP] You don't have to start over and upgrade your shit. It is optional. I suggest you pick what you use the most and go from there. Suck it up, my friend, it'll be okay, promise lol.
