That's bs. That's how the gear works and the expansions. You reach max level with the best armor. Then the expansion comes out with a new set of better armor. That's how it works. That's how every MMO I play works. Even though this isn't considered a MMO it has some of the features.
But even with those MMO's, they include a way to get your older Raid gear up to par with the newer gear. That way they appeal to a wider audience of MMO fans. It still takes the grind to get older gear maxed to new levels, but doesn't make you feel like your past work was all for naught.
Bungie needs to take a lesson from other MMO's and address this.
Or just keep giving a huge middle finger to PvE/MMO fans and watch them continue to drop off to go play other, better managed MMO's.
