The world makes lying seem so casual and careless to the point where more and more people are just fabricating stories and even lives (I know a grill who did this) for themselves. I'm actually very appalled at a straight, dead lie to someone's face.

Me too. I believe honesty is the best policy, and that there is merit in telling it how it is, even when the truth isn't exactly flattering to yourself.
