This game does really put me off sometimes - the poor rng luck I have is depressing... I ran the raid for the first time yesterday - fortunate to find a good group in destinylfg - and in total got 13 shards, the titan tea towel, and chatterwhite.
TBH it puts me off bothering to put in the effort to run it again =|

One run makes you want to not run it anymore? That makes absolutely no sense, especially considering it's RNG. Talk to me when you've completed it 10-15 times and only gotten one piece of raid gear. I got a full set in 5 loot completions. Was able to hit 30 in 4 with an exotic.
