The mobs would stop running if you had P&T. Invisibility FTW.
Also, crouching minimizes your radar signature. You could further try perching up in a tree, or other hard to reach place. Use your triple jump to get there.

Tried triple jumping on top of a boulder, hit an invisible wall. I am now injured and my health won't regenerate.

I hate that bug. Have you tried returning to orbit, and going back to patrol? On a side note, what scope do you like on your sniper? I like the mid-range with precision glass.
