His point is that your elitist views on what it means to be 30 can only be addressed with a heavy dose of irony. You can feel how you want, but sharing it on the forums makes you seem snobbish and ignorant. I do not think you are those things, but a topic like this makes you seem that way. Thanks for your input, but most people could not care less about what a real 30 is.

And the original post is just, like, your opinion man. Is that not how discourse works? Two differing viewpoints espousing their respective sides of the argument. A better wording for your argument would be to throw out any mention of the rank 30, and just focus on what makes a great guardian. All of your points are valid, but in their current context they undoubtedly come off as somewhat elitist.

That maybe the case though part of my hope with this thread was to change the direction of the conversation about real and fake 30s to a more productive topic around weapons, perks, and stat rolls.

I see, I hate the "real/fake" discussion also. I much prefer a post like yours, but drawing a hard line on what makes someone a better 30 is tricky to do without coming off as condescending. I appreciate the effort, but I also think a very unlucky 29 could meet most of your criteria too. That was my main beef, thanks for the explanation.
