Why do people keep saying it won't be available because we will need time to gear up? What have you been doing over the past few months? I believe the only way to get to light level 31+ is by getting the new raid gear.

Apparently if you equip the new version exotic gear along with new legendary armour the vanguard and crucible person will sell it should be enough to get you to 31

I thought the legendary gear that gets you to 31 is from the iron banner.

Keep in mind the legendary armour they sell will still be weaker than the raid armour but as long as it allows to hit 31 thats all that matters at this point

It will only be light level 30 from vendors.

Looks like you were right. Sorta makes VoG pointless though, doesn't it?

31 is from iron banner event starting on the 16th which will probably be gauntlets and boots again, along side a raid chest piece or helm and the maxed exotic filling the other space, that may get you to level 31 but not without a week worth of grinding, likely how a lot of players will hit 31 and maybe some pieces from the new raid

Turns out im right, the quatermaster now carry legendary gear that go up to a now 33 light, which is enough to take you to 31

Not really you still need to get to 32 plus the legendary gear has a weaker defense than the raid gear all that matters is just hitting 31 for now

But still vendors should not put you above gear from the last raid that is kinda ridiculous being honest, sure you need a vanguard commendation or what not and it will take you between 1-3 weeks depending on your current stack of marks but it is still too high And if the IB event gets you 31 light armour you will just be grinding tons just to get nothing better (presumably) than otherwise

Not really, plus the new raid has a new mechanic now that keeps track of the items you got to better ensure you dont get repeat items as often as the VOG gave you so your bound to get new items almost every run. Plus with the new cap being 32 it is perfectly fine how they handle the leveling here.

On top of that, the only way to upgrade your raid gear is to obtain the material you only get out of the raid

Nahh tbh it should either cap out at 30, have VoG gear cap at 31 or have new raid gear hit 33 along with hard mode but ehh each to their own

VOG is old news now, it would be too easy to have the VOG gear take you to 31

This actually just keeps it in line with before the patch. Old raid gear aside, before and after the patch, the vendor legendaries get u one level below max

Yeah but raid gear that people grinded for, for months is obselete, sure it helped in the meantime when you had to do level 30 hardmode VoG but it still seems a bit too easy mode, and I for one haven't even raided all that much

Thats why then the Raid is the biggest part of them game if you want the best gear, plus its like this in a lot of games like this, switch out the old gear for the new gear nothing new their, also they are supposed to upgrade allowing more storage space and a higher glimmer cap. You dont have to get rid of your VOG gear just store it and obtain the new gear to work on. It shouldnt take long to upgrade them.
