Xur is my only way of getting exotics currently. I have gotten shards/coins from the nightfall 4 weeks in a row. I have Thorn and Bad Juju, hoping for the buff soon.
I have yet to ever recieve an exotic from just playing, and I have bought all but 3 of my legendaries.
The last 6 legendary engrams I have recieved (out of 8 total) have turned into shards or energies. I
am getting discouraged. Xur is basically my RNG. Whatever he happens to sell, I buy because I know I wont get anything else.

I feel for you. My first month of destiny was exactly like that. But after a legendary engram turned into an exotic, it broke the dam on drops and now rng likes me. I still buy alot for xur though, havent gone a week without buying from xur yet
