This weapon is so bad no matter what the perks. There are no current maps where u would use this. Small maps u get destroyed by shotguns/shoulder charge and on the maps that are large enough to put its superior range to use (which are few in number) you are better off using a sniper rifle anyway. Low rate of fire/high impact and range are so bad against anything else the way bungie has built its maps. Range doesn't mean anything in PvP when last words minimal range can outperform you in most situations. Needs faster rate of fire to be even worth considering for a moment. Switching between this and hawkmoon results in 1-2k point swings per match for me. Big disappointment

I primarily use VoC and Hawkmoon, and I can tell you almost nothing can beat those two guns if you don't play like a jackass. VoC with the long range scope and Hawkmoon with the range upgrade and the three bullets do extra damage.

Before I found this new Vanguard SR: Another NITC - I used to use nothing but Gheleon's Demise, I had rolled one with Third Eye and Explosive Rounds. Disregarding that, I must point out your mitsakes here; 1) Gheleon's Demise actually has higher impact than almost all other Scout Rifles. 2) Almost all Scout Rifles have the same fire rate (Legendaries, at least) - despite what the RoF bar says. I can provide an example here: Crota's Shotgun (Swordbreaker) has a RoF bar that is DOUBLE the Found Verdicts, but it actually shoots slower.

Well I can tell you your mistakes too. Your claim about the fire rate being the same on all SR is just total hog wash. I have many a legendary SR and they all have different RoF. GD has the slowest. I am aware of the impact being higher which means less required hits, but this also means a missed bullet hurts more in a close range 1v1situation, which is what happens more than not (close range engagements) with the way bungie has built the maps. Doesn't matter what perks, I have explosive too and luck in chamber and fitted stock and I use knucklehead radar which gives me third eye as well.

You can't have Explosive Rounds and Fitted Stock at the same time on Scout Rifles. They both partake in the 3-ability tree.

My best score in pvp was with GD... 8225 I think.
