Either AC 2, or Brotherhood are the best.
It quickly goes downhill until Black Flag.

That's what I've heard. I was thinking about Rogue, but that one looks a little bleak. So I'll probably go with AC II.

Better characters, world, and story than most games in the series. AC 2 is a great choice.
