What the burn does is increase your element's damage by a huge amount. For an example, i have atheons epiloge wich is preety much dr nope with void damage. It does around 60 dam per bullet normaly, but with void burn, each bullet does almost 200 for a body shot. And its the same principal with all other burns. Be carefull though, not only are your elements buffed, but say its a ark burn, the enemys that shoot ark bullets will also b doing very increaced damage. So for your question, i would just say to use the damage that is under the burn modifier.

Yeah I have done a lot of nightfalls I know about the enemies extra damage, so glad it's not arc again this time for pits that sucked so hard last time!! I just don't know about all those knights and wizards, burn damage does more damage obviously but using the wrong element against a shield does less damage so if using void burn against an arc or solar shield will it do more or less than the correct element?

And also, if you use the wrong damage against a shield, it dosent do less damage then normal, its normal damage. If u use the right element gor a shield, it does extra damage to only the shield. Once its gone, the only extra damage you can do is a crit shot

It will definitely do more damage, even against the wrong shield

I would say so too. Although doubt it would be a lot more...

Damn your making me doubt myself and what a few others have said now... This needs testing... Really not sure how to test it though haha! I guess you would need multiples of the same gun with different damage to test properly
