I literally ran away for 2/3 of the map to get the warlock's grenade to stop following me and it still got me. -_- literally 2/3 of the map (blind watch | played as a hunter) seriously nerf their grenades. It's basically like the truth's aggressive tracking!

Axion bolt is slow as -blam!- and barely does any damage unless it's perfectly aimed.
-
They have abilities and armor pieces to make it last longer. Get your shit straight before crying nerf

Compared to any other grenade I know of, axiom bolt does less damage to trade off for that seeking ability. If you're right where the grenade initially lands, it does more damage. Otherwise, it wouldn't even take down your shields.
-
Well it took down my shield and 3/4 of my health I still lived but dang. That thing chases you like crazy.
-
Did you have teammates nearby? Sounds like you took a bolt that generates for em! They owe you a thanks!
-
I had one but the grenade followed me instead :(

For axiom bolts, there's the initial sensor, that tells the grenade how many bolts too spawn. Depending on the number of enemies, one will spawn for each enemy, up to a max of 3 with voidfang vestments. One will chase each enemy. It's not random or luck. One per enemy, unless there are 4 or more enemies. In your scenario it sounds like 2. So, two. For the damage you say you took, you must've gotten in the way of the bolt heading for the other dude, leaving the original one to chase you. There's a time limit to how long they'll chase, and you can easily outrun them. If you don't want to run, sit down. Not crouch, actually sit down. It'll just spin over your head. It's a huge flaw, a huge weakness. I'm telling you so you'll see how many different ways to counter this grenade there are.

I only took damage from the one that chased me. Maybe the player next to me was hit after I started running but it was definitely 1 that hit me not two. And that thing seriously chased me forever (around corners, inside the building, etc.) And thanks for the tip I didn't know if you sit down it would just circle you. But on the other hand it leaves you open to fire from the person who threw it or his teammates. Kinda pointless. I haven't tried running and sitting but I will let you know how it goes when I do.

Edited by ryuraze: 11/24/2014 9:38:27 PMYeah, that's another reason I didn't mind telling you, it's a cheap thing, and I think it's cool that people wouldn't be able to shoot back. I have used that grenade many many times, I know everything about it, if anyone who reads this thinks axiom bolts is op, you have to think about how many different ways it can be countered, then it can seem pretty weak Edit- and I don't wanna know how sitting works for you, you can easily get it stuck in a corner and be killing people rather than waiting for the thing to disappear

That's the truth. If you're at full health you should stop wasting your time running, take it like a Guardian, and then move on. I almost never use the axion bolt because of how weak it is. It'll hunt someone down, yes, but it won't really do much damage when it finds them. I always end up having to still hunt them down to kill them with my gun.

The Axion Bolt is also one of the later grenade variants that a Warlock gets. It takes quite a bit of playing to get the heat-seeking mini-black-hole-of-doom. Don't run from it, embrace it. lel

Doesnt matter that grenade should be a damn super.
