Was beginning to feel unlucky too, but then i got birth of history and later, jolder's hammer. The only people that got good rewards were the match winners though, so that's definitely a requirement.

Being a match winner is a requirement for IB rewards? Absolutely not. I came in second place earlier, and the players in first place and last place received Timur's Lash. It's all randomized, as long as you're rank 3 or higher.

I think you misunderstood me, i meant your team has to win the match. Whoever gets the rewards on the winning side is randomized like any crucible match. Kinda bs, since your team could have carried you, etc.

I think you're right about that. I can't think of any instance where I saw someone on a losing team receive an IB reward. That's what sucks about Crucible rewards: the randomness. I can dominate, capture tons of zones, have a fantastic K/D, slaughter the other team and win by a huge difference, and I'll get nothing, and then I'll see people sit around not playing whatsoever or end on a horrible note and they (like the guy I mentioned earlier) receive IB rewards. So unfair.
