you left out the amazing destiny lore and moving the terminals to todays terminals (the destiny app)
i shelved my perfect condition unopened xb1 physical copy of destiny between the 2 copies each of oni and halo for the original xbox
i remember the halo campaigns (and the digitalph33r and crowneddaemon spoofs) still too well and all the glories of matchmaking on dsl
this time though the problem is not so much with bungie but with the internet data flow capability between the player consoles and the bungie servers
there are underlying problems with destiny that time or bungie may or may not be able to solve
after this latest update and all the xb1 frame rate and disconnect problems it caused, i deleted my 3 level 29 hunters and gave the xb1 with the digital vanguard copy of destiny to my gf who played it like once then she went to codaw then she went back to black ops 2
there is no hate for bungie in this house only realistic thinking and the thinking here is that, like the xbox one slim, there will need to be a major overhaul in the works sometime soon
i am waiting for destiny 2 to see what it will bring to the table and see if they figure out a magic way to lower the data flow between the player consoles and the servers
maybe a gigantic hash table with every weapon, shader and armor piece that is available to every player so they only have to send one byte of info across the internets to have the entire player info? the dev part of me cringes at the thought but there is a deeper part of me that thinks hmmmm....

Edited by linhue: 11/23/2014 3:46:06 PM8 o's yeah got it we use skype for voice chat because it works so much better i will see you out there probably with her level 10 hunter TangibleRain433 unless i restart mine again. oh i got in last night for a bit on my gf account and did some sniping to check the frame rate. not so much frame rate drop but whooo the lag like playing griffball on dialup. another weird thing that i saw while sniping with her level 10 jigoku scout rifle was if you hit the enemy the effect is immediate even across the map but if you miss you get to watch the bullet fly slowly away...a very strange effect and then we find out that a free trial/demo of destiny began on nov 18th for all four platforms which mean that everybody is downloading the game now and all that data has to go through the same pipe. http://www.destinythegame.com/free-trial?utm_campaign=destiny-us-holiday&utm_medium=search&utm_source=google&utm_term=destiny-trial-exact Beginning November 18th, 2014, players will be able to try Destiny for free via Trial or Demo.
