Iron Banner 2.0: Levels still don't matter. Why?
What the -blam!- is this shit? That's me, a level 30 Defender being one shotted by a level 25 Hunter in Iron Banner. That same hunter would finish in 2nd place on a team full of 29s and 30s.

1) Do you need help doing math? What is 30 - 25. Is it 3?
2) Do you need help with the definition of "out of your league" and "boss"?
3) Please explain why Level 25's are able to one shot level 30s, with regular weapons (nonheavy) in IB. Would it have been so hard to use a damage dampening function that ceilings at (opponentMaxHealth-%10) for the sake of making light level ACTUALLY matter? Seriously?

1) Yes my shot did not connect and kill the guy. At no point did I claim I wanted people to die when I looked at them because they are a lower level than me. Please feel free to spend precious moments of your life to tell me I missed, as [i]I clearly had no idea.[/i]
2) If the light level damage dropoff curve is so pathetic in IB 2.0 that a decent shot from a non-heavy weapon is still a one-shot despite a huge level gap (>3), then your light level doesn't matter in practice. Only in theory. If it only matters in theory, this is IB 1.0[/b]
3) I typically do patrol mission bounties etc before I log out. I do not do these in my level 30 set because my level 30 set has way too much strength over disc/int thanks to rng. Is it [i]so hard to imagine [/i]that a guy can log off in a not level 30 set and still be level 30 when he wants to?

Bungie made it clear that your weapon's attack stat would affect how much damage you do and that your armor's defense would affect how much damage you take - meaning a level 25 with a maxed Hawkmoon would still be a threat. You were relying on the iron banner to make up for your lack of skill. Plain and simple you missed that shot horrible, but if you notice...just GRAZING him took away his shield and some health, while he completely connected with you.

3 RepliesThey even said a 25 with full upgraded weapons will be viable. I was destroying 29s and 30s with my 25 hunter using my full upgraded VoC and Suros. At least this shit is better than the last. My 29 titan was dominating. Skill will always take precedence is engagements.

He used a fusion rifle which does like 500+ damage. You only have 200 health and shield.

Ok seriously lets not forget that the little three stat bars actually still matter its not just the armor yes you are going to get wrecked by lv 22s if your armor bar is really short but if its maxed you are going to take shots to the head and live especially if you have an exotic helmet like me

Attack power matters. If a 20 is using a 300 attack weapon they will do as much damage as a 30 doing the same. 20s just die faster so there's your giant advantage.

Lol. Missed a shot and got sprayed a full blast fusion rifle and got mad . It would be different if you 1 vs 1 with AR. Try the same thing using shotgun....Tht level 25 with fully upgraded purple shotty will also do the same to you... #Loloftheday

It's a FUSION RIFLE. They are OP. They have been since launch. I Don't think it will ever get "balanced" out either. Bungie favors the crap out of that gun type. It's also a legendary so it's attack power COULD BE 300.

All of you guys who want to own anyone under your level are idiots. If they didn't let weapons that are maxed do enough damage to kill you when used by a lower level player then nobody but level 30 players would play iron banner. They would just play crucible. Because they would have no chance to win. Ever. That would be an unbalanced piece of shit move. So all of you who complain about shit like this, especially when you're killed my a FUSION RIFLE, go -blam!- yourselves. Oh and I'm level 30 so you can't just say I'm an undergeared hater. I just see the reason we can still be killed. It wouldn't be fun to destroy everything with no challenge and it wouldn't be any different than regular crucible if only 30s played it. So stfu.
