It's not about grinding for 12 hours, in my opinion. It's so you can play, stop, play, stop in a 12 hour window without having to remember to use it so often.
What if you ran out of your 3-4 hour one an hour before you had to go to sleep? You would want to get the extra points for the last hour of playing but then would be wasting 2-3 hours of it and having to use another one when you get back on.

Edited by Jazzman4824: 11/18/2014 11:22:27 PMIt forces players to use their boosts more wisely. I mean at the end of the day you are justifying your purchase, the 12 hours straight deal makes me feel like I just wasted a mote and about 6 hours of it

Forcing humans to choose more wisely is literally asking them a lot, unfortunately.

Edited by Jazzman4824: 11/18/2014 11:34:30 PMThats true, it would have just made iron banner feel more....dramatic, like you had alot at stake which is what I know alot of people want out of iron banner. Like a really really competitive experience, as opposed to raid alternative.

For me I grew out of the competitive experience, it became really stressful even when I would go 2.0 KD regularly in CoD and Halo 2. I literally have played one crucible match before today and something about the Iron Banner stress was fun because of the limited amount of time to get the IB gear. So, I don't really need another time stresser to add to the experience.
