Oh shit i must've just totaly forgotten about the entire British Monarchy hmmmm now lets see what they did... well they definatly did have alot of wars over who should be king APPOINTED by God, i guess that might've made for alot of technological advancement in the middle ages, whats next... oh wait yea thats right more wars! more advancements! this time explorers and missionary might have try and help those poor un-christian countrys and set up camp there all in the name of God, hmm that sounds like an age of scientific exploration to me and colonization, hmm what else could there be?? Well for one the dark ages would've never happened. Yes the plague still would've but for over 500 years there were absolutely no technological advances. Also when somebody made a discovery (ex. Copernicus discovering we orbit the sun not the other way around) the church shut them down. They told people science was witchcraft. You're following a religion that simply uses scare tactics to control the crowds and get rich off of them. That's it.

The churches can sometimes get kinda off-track and messed up. Can't remember his name, but there was. Pope who liked to let prisoners go in his compound and masturbate while his guards shot them like fish in a barrel. It's not the religion that's the problem, it's some of the people who claim to be a part of the religion.

Your asking "oh whats anything got to do with religion" well without it NONE that would've happend, and your right in due course some random chinese fella probably wouldve invented how to fly, but as it is, History goes ALOT futher back than 2000 years, but you can see in that time frame Humans have gone bat shit crazy with everything till the modern era, why? Because a group of god loving warmongers made it that way, thats why, how else wouldve they invented ways to perfectly drill steel or keep all the collective information of exotic animals plants in one place for people to study, or invent machines to do mass work for us, your right it possibly could've been done someother way without religion, but as it is, it didnt, infact its religion u can thank for advancements going so fast in the last 2000 years, it could've happen someother way but it didn't

Yes I do and just for the record I am not an atheist, I am a deist. This means that I do believe in a higher power but I do not claim any religion. I am also capable of changing my beliefs to accept new facts unlike christianity. My belief system changes along with new discoveries whereas with christianity or islam their brains are so hardwired to believe one thing that they will ignore or even reject the truth and new facts in order to protect their beliefs. Psychologically speaking this is a mental disorder and it also shows what the indoctrination of kids into a religion does to the human psyche. It becomes such an integral part of it that they are literally incapable of changing it after a certain point.

Sorry I kind of went on a rant there. I'm actually debating with a very religious person right now about the bible and it's like arguing with a wall. Any time I give him information he can't rebuttal with "because God said so" or "because gods all powerful" he changes the subject. Also xboxdotcom is an imbecile I've ran into him on here a couple times.
