Don't get your hopes up: Parker Bros. told me that I would be a special person and have my own special-person figurine, but it turns out anyone can get the same super special special-person figurine I had with enough time and effort. This is inexcusable, egregious, and blasphemous! I'm going back to hoop-and-stick.

I should've preordered hoop and stick when I had the chance.

Right? The thing is I'd always wanted a kite, I mean everyone wanted a kite. For ten years they were the holy grail, but the guys that made the kites did it in such a fashion that they couldn't be used on the wind where I live. Moreover, I had roots in the community, so I couldn't just up-and-leave, and I didn't have the money to justify a second home just for kite flying, so I basically missed out on the whole kite thing. That's why I jumped on hoop and stick. There was even a rumor that it would, ironically, only work on the ground in our town, but fortunately that turned out to be a lot of hot air. Speaking of which, I hear work's already begun on their next big toy. I don't know much of anything about it, but it has the coolest sounding code-name I've ever heard: Balloon.
