400-500 is like minimum you should spend in order to get decent hardware, I've built 7 computers(2 for myself and 5 for friends/others) all of which cost $1000 and up and can run pretty much any game on the highest settings. There are also plenty of YouTube videos on the subject of cheap but well performing pc's

  • So where would I look for a $400-500 range on a high performance PC? Do you recommend a website or something?

  • I buy all of my parts off of newegg.com they usually have the cheapest prices, and if you don't have a whole lot of knowledge on building a computer yourself you can find plenty of step by step videos on YouTube. There are also videos of people building gaming pc's for around the budget you have.
