Here are my shitty thoughts and impressions so far:
The pros
- All the abilities seem to work well together
- I especially like the ground pound thing (not too sure why some people are bitching about it).
- The "ads" - or rather I should say quasi-ads as it seems more like an aesthetic change to zoom feature - looks alright I suppose. Definitely not as bad as people are making it out to be.
- Ledge climbing. You can't even say this is copied from CoD as most shooters have had the shit since forever and it's about damn time Halo had it too.
The cons
- Jeff Steitzer has somehow managed to sound even more annoying and stupid than he did in Halol 4
- Still announces every damn thing and to top it off, there seem to be more medals... Now he'll never shut up...
- The "Spartans" talk too -blam!-ing much. If I wasn't looking at my screen and didn't hear Jeff yelling every two seconds, I would have thought I was hearing CoD gameplay with all that stupid chatter.
- Dat energy sword doe... Like, the -blam!-?
- Bringing back that shitty mlg tryhard map
That's all. Overall I have no real opinion on it one way or the other. After Halol 4, I don't really care too much...
English

It's not an energy sword. It's a new sword called the Bane of Truth or Truths Bane, some bring like that.
-
It is called the Bane of Prophets
-
I think its a variant called the champions sword that has increased lunge distance
-
>Has a blade composed of plasma It's still an energy sword no matter what special name this one goes by...
-
This is like saying the Battle Rifle and DMR are synonymous because they're both rifles; this sword works differently then the typical energy sword, but can still technically be called an energy sword only by classification. They redesigned it to distinguish it.
-
It's still a -blam!-ing energy sword, you pleb. And your example is poor as both rifles have low power scopes and are generally used for percision kills from various ranges. Only real difference is the firing mode...
-
And their intended range, and the way the autoaim impacts the weapon at different ranges. They are both rifles, they are not the same gun. The Prophet's Bane gives a mobility increase, and increased lunge range when using the aiming button, while the normal sword acts, well, like a normal sword. It falls under the same classification, a sword, but it's not the same weapon. Ergo it can't be said that the design of the new weapon means they -blam!-ed up the energy sword.
-
Never said that they're the same weapon. Just said it's still an energy sword.
-
Jeff Steitzer was great before they gave him a robotic voice and re-recorded everything. He sounded epic, now he just sounds dumb.
-
It looks okay, the voice of the Spartans is like Battlefield and the sword is shitty as hell.
-
No, it isn't okay... And at least the guys in BF make me laugh and don't sound generic as -blam!-...
