I agree, dual wielding hand cannons or even the few SMG like weapons, simply will not work IMO. Ppl need to stop with all these Halo features they want incorporated into Destiny. Destiny/Bungie needs features that are new. Let's be real, we all know Destiny is kinda like COD AW with HALO style graphics and some MMO features

Halo 2 and Halo 3 most certainly would prove to be exceptions to your generalization, although I do respect your honest opinion. The ability to dual-wield [i][/i]different [i][/i] weapons allowed for a near-endless variety of strategies and combinations based on player preference. For example, you could wield one SMG and one plasma pistol; two very different weapons used in-conjunction with each other for a unique play style.

I agree with that, which is why I said almost. Still with the limits on the types of weapons available for destiny I just don't see it pulling off that same level of duel wielding. I mean would you be allowed to wield only two primaries? Or a primary and a special? Or two specials? I can already tell where any of those options lead. I mean could you imagine someone with two fusion rifles just using alternating trigger pulls? One kill per shot with decent range. No thank you.

Unless it's Halo. I miss dual wielding in Halo.
