Maybe, but what purpose would it serve besides answering a hypothetical question? Would we make scientific advances from this, and if so, would those advances be worth the time and money required to perform and effective longitudinal experiment?

Well it would provide insight onto any one of the following things: -human brain development -psychological viability of a matured individual in isolation (understanding the effects of solitary confinement better) -linguistic learning characteristics of the brain -social learning characteristics of the brain Highly unlikely, but if there were multiple individuals in isolation together -creation of linguistic or symbolic communication -uninfluenced perspective on the world -teaching methods for the illiterate that are above the schooling age -if isolation can create a viable individual -if being exempt from outside influence causes the conscious to "shut down" it's morality factoring system that every human goes through every day -if personal opinion can be formed without outside influence Basically a chunk of human psychology, specifically the parts concerning isolation, are impossible to study without doing this experiment. Now whether or not we wish to do this experiment to fill the void that will be there until we do, is up for debate.
