Specifically speaking on if the object had the some type of consciousness a human had, I would like to talk to my cellar door. All that time in the dark, he's bound to have thought of something interesting to say.

Make an accurate interpretation. Is your basement door away from everything in your house? Do you go into your basement often?

I do, but there is an area of my basement I almost never go to, so id like to say the perspective would be the otherside of the door, which conceals the water heater

Depends on which door, and which side the door observes from, I don't actually have a door that leads from the upstairs to the downstairs because it's an open stair design in my house
