I've noticed a lot of people looking for help with weekly heroic/ nightfall strikes so I thought I would post a brief guide on how to approach the all of the boss fights in each of strikes (except Valus Tauarc because I suck at that fight, but feel free to post any strategies for that fight below, as well as additional strategies to the fights that I do address) hopefully these tips will make these fights more manageable, (and even soloable if you like that sort of thing). So here goes Devils Lair -Refinery After deploying Ghost, there is a cave to your left that glows green. The back of this cave is the safest place to be during these waves, and nothing but a few thrills will chase you back there. Fight it out from there. -Walker As soon as you enter the outdoor area, look to your left. About 50 yards or so away there should be a building whose roof is about the same height as the ground you are standing on. This roof is a great place to snipe the walker from, as it has scattered clutter that protects you from the walkers cannon blasts. -Sepiks Prime As soon as you enter the area where Sepiks is, there is a room to your left. This room is the safest place to battle Sepiks from, as it provides lots of cover, provides views to more than half of the places that Sepiks will spawn, and it is rare that enemies will ever follow you in there. Hope this helps. I will make separate posts for each of the remaining strikes.( read the replies)

  • for the nexus once you enter his room and off the minotaurs, there is a nice space on the ground level directly under the cliff you jump down, easy to shoot from both sides and take out adds+ nexus

Summoning Pits -first room after the room with the three knights. Be patient, snipe from the doorway, and have someone hang back as medic because that wizard will wreck you on high difficulties. -Three wave room. After deploying Ghost, heAd back to the doorway at the entrance to the room, and fend off the waves from here, retreating back behind the doorway for cover when necessary. Be aware that during the third wave, a group of four hallowed wizards will rush this position. Simply sprint back up the stairs to the previous room when this happens, and shoot the Wizards from the top of the stairs. -Phogoth Once again, the doorway from the entrance to the chamber is where you will be shooting from. Be aware that every 8-10 seconds a shrieker will spawn on that room. When this happens, retreat to the previous room until the shrieker despaws. Then go back and shoot Phogoth. Repeat until he is dead. Do not go farther back than the room before the shrieker. Do not kill the shrieker. When the shrieker spawns, hallowed wizards and Knights will enter the room where the shrieker is. You don't need to kill these, as they despawn with the shrieker. Occasionally a straggler will be left behind that you will have to kill to be able to re enter that room safely. Good luck with Phogoth.

  • Winters Run. -3 wave fight. The cliffs overlooking the area where the enemies spawn is a greatly place to sit and snipe from a distance. This makes the fight much safer and less risky. -Pike Section This can be driven past if a Sparrow is used instead of a pike(Pikes run out of boost too fast) Otherwise, just patiently kill all the enemies in each fight with long distance weapons. Aksor Before you jump down into the battle field where you fight Aksor, look up and to your left. There should be a cliff that you can fly up to. Once up there, a little forward and to the right slightly should be a crevice where you can stand and shoot from. Fight from here, retreating to the path before the Aksor area when necessary. Simply a matter of patience and retreating at the right times.

Nexus Servitor Room -Hang out by the doorway at the entrance to the room and shoot from there. The enemies will come to you but will not enter the doorway. (Someone may have to walk into the room to trigger the waves) Next few sections Be patient, watch out for hobgoblins/minotaurs Nexus (I got this strategy from Director Nasty) Snipe as many minotaurs from the ledge above the nexus room as you can, then jump down. As soon as you hit the ground, turn around. There will be a huge concrete wall there. After you finish killing the rest of the minotaurs, hide behind this wall. From here, just poke your head around the corners of the wall and shoot the nexus until he dies. (Takes a long time, but is very safe)
