I enjoy sarcasm as much as the next guy but when it reeks of ignorance, it's not funny.
Let me know how long it takes you to code a 3-D outfit that moves without breaking the rest of your game causing BSOD.
Then we'll talk.

Perhaps you didn't notice how many geometry/mesh assets are re-used on a class's armor items. They can very literally make a new set of armor by copy-and-pasting onto a pre-made foundation mesh that exists exactly for that sort of assembly. Taking minutes might seem like an exaggeration, but it wouldn't take upwards of an hour unless a guy wanted it to.

Edited by Zint Fazer: 11/1/2014 5:09:09 AMI honestly don't think that once they had the countless MODELS for a cloak, that changing one's texture/adding a few features (Y'know, with the customization kit they showed at GDC way back) is going to cause any blue screens of death. Seriously. If only half of this fanbase would wake up and realize that they're releasing a whole boatload of new gear that's (get this) already created, as well as releasing content that's already been in development prior to launch. You've got to be kidding me if you think this game is what they wanted it to be. Go check out the old videos. I'm SUPPORTING Bungie by not giving ACTIVISION their money to butcher more great developers (like Bungie.)

As far as I care, Bungie gets all the hell they deserve for getting in bed with Activision.
