  • I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, then later moved to Lawndale (near Torrance/Redondo Beach). I have family in Sacramento (North Cali). Currently I live outside of Montgomery, AL.

  • I'm still trying to work out if your possums are the same as the one's we had back in Oz .. big bastards the size of a fat cat and the attitude of a bear with sore balls ? Would that be an apt description?

  • You and the possums.. are you fixated? ;) But your description sounds about right, especially if you get to close, those over sized rats tend to flash an attitude.

  • They were a constant pain in the ass back in Aus, you couldn't shoot them (nothing about slingshots though) they used to jump off the tree in the back yard onto our roof at 2am, the drop was about 4ft so the noise was considerable because it was a flat tin roof. Then they would start fighting, running and humping on our verandah. I miss those little critter like a hole in the head. I remember chasing one with a 5ft piece of conduit in the middle of the night just to get them to be quiet, the wife was wondering who the hell she has married. The only unusual thing I've came across here was a skunk!
