It's fine. This just gives me another reason to stick to Halo MCC when it drops on the 11th.
I find it quite poetic to see Bungie's new franchise be destroyed by it's old one.

Agreed. It'll be funny when it happens. Their xbox one users are going to have a mass exodus. I wouldn't be surprised if they change their tune about exclusives just to try and salvage what's left. I know I'll be doing my weeklies and that's it, the rest of my time will be spent on Halo2
