I don't have sufficient information to go off of, but I'll try the Pepsi Challenge anyway. Feminism can be divided into multiple categories, all of which push for the goal of raising the standing of women in society. The goals of these different "factions" (perhaps for lack of a better term) are in some cases divergent, but I think they can be simplified to two major groups and goals: On one side are those who desire that men and women be equal, both as a function of legal standing and as a function of social perceptions. This version of feminism points to the common humanity of men and women and seeks the end of anything which might differentiate on the basis of gender. On the other side are those who desire that women be able to realize themselves, not only as human beings, but also as women. There is some basis of equality that is needed here, but the goals may also require special protections for women to prevent them from being stifled. Within both contexts, there is a fundamental importance of eliminating both de jure inequalities (inequalities that are a product of written law) and de facto inequalities (inequalities that are not part of the law, but nevertheless exist due to social or moral norms, gender bias, etc.). That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge.
