For the love of all that is Holy and sacred
-If you do not own a void weapon, do not join a raid party until you do
-if your weapons aren't maxed out or at least close to, do not join a raid party
-most importantly, if you have no idea how to do just one part of the raid. Don't join a raid party!!! Watch some YouTube videos so you understand every aspect of it

2 RepliesIgnore this douche. Do the raid as soon as it will let you, with whatever gear, with as little prep as you like. I find it hilarious that the exact same type that complain about fixes for exploits ("BUNGIE LET US PLAY THE WAY WE WANT WE PAYD 60 DOLAS TOO") are so quick to tell others how they are allowed to play the game.

Edited by heepatrouble: 10/26/2014 4:25:15 PMI have done vog twice, both completes and both times 3of 6 were first timers with no fully upgraded weapons, i have no fully upgraded weapons and only void weapon i have is machine gun with no upgrades yet, we finished both times just fine and did not cheese atheon at all, the raid is about teamwork Would like to add, if u have 6 people with all fully upgraded weapon and they dont work as a team they will most likely fail

My team did raid the first time just fine without fully upgraded weapons and some of them had blue's and no void. Are you talking hard raid. Also don't be a prick. Some randoms are pretty cool dudes and just want to help and only need a short explanation, so help them help you. If I joined a team of elitist and you treated me like your rant and were a big enough dick I'd troll you. Also you're implying that all I needed to do when I was a kid was watch porn and I'd be a master at that.

Ummm the raid party is invite only. Become and adult and ask questions of party late comers... Take a leadership role and LEAD the raid. Also, try to be less douchey, it makes the raid go better. /rant

It's fine if you have none of this. Stuff, the OP is just a cry baby. If you can't help teach new people how to do the raid, then you're a selfish person. For normal, there is no need for void weapons, you can do just five without them. My issue is when people try to join hard mode without first completing normal. If you can't beat it on normal, don't expect to do hard mode.

There is no point in going into a raid, trying it and failing because too many people on the team haven't done it before, don't know where to go or what do do. People should probably at least check out a video or two before, just so they're prepared and the attempt isn't a waste of everyones time. That's what I did anyway. I'm always happy to help people who haven't done it and clear things up when we're doing it, but if you have literally no idea, it's extremely difficult.

I think OP is just referring to hard mode because that is where the things he mentioned really matters. I've also noticed some people find it hard transitioning from normal to hard mode.

I prefer to teach rather than yell and kick, i feel it helps new raiders learn the ropes a little easier than just yelling at them for being bad at something they haven't done yet... logic? :] Xbox one btw.

The thing is that not all players have been playing Destiny since our Holy Day of Founding. Some people just got the game. Some haven't got the friends to make a team, so they search the forums for a clan. The first time I went through it took forever. I didn't want to spoil the surprise, so I didn't watch any videos. The guys I ran it with were very patient and we stopped at all the check points to discuss the next part. I have since taken two different teams through and each time we had people who had never run it. Yea it took a while, but they learned from it and next time, they'll be loads faster. There's nothing wrong with teaching people, you sir just need some patience. And maybe a slice of humble pie.

I use the raid pistol and shotty on normal mode there is no need for the above unless you're running it on hard mode but if that's the case everyone should know what they're doing anyway

Got through the raid the first week it came out with a group that few of these things. They sure do help though!

Two sixty attack or so is more than enough to get where you want to go on killing things. Also I think you're are lazy of you don't want to give a simple description of a job in the raid, not like it takes more than a minute.

3 Replies1 and 2 I get. 3 is up in the air and should be discussed beforehand. Some people (like me) enjoy working with a group to figure stuff out.
