There's probably some merit to the thought, but there needs to be a good solid base to work from otherwise fan fiction will be very fragmented and contradictory. It would be a mess.
There is no solid base here. A lot of very intruding fragments indeed, but a story in need of a good cryptarch because at the moment it's pretty decoherent

Also you talking about my story or Destiny's one? 0.o Or both lol

Also meant to say - your story is the kind of thing Destiny should be full of. Everywhere we turn there is somebody with a backstory, side story future story etc. Some stories significant, some minor, and some completely meaningless. This is the stuff that would make the currently empty universe filled with life. I like your story. A mini-world in bigger world. What would be truly wonderful is if Bungie had a bit of a competition. People submit fan fiction which they could include into the story as side missions and such. Rewards being some unique armour or shaders or some such thing.

Edited by Auriventris: 10/26/2014 6:20:01 AMYay someone likes it!!!!! .. Uhmm... *Serious Face* .... yeah... I to have also been thinking about how rich the world could be if Bungie used fan fiction as a way to truly expand the destiny universe. I don't want to see a universe like Destiny's go down in flames, It has so much potential, And Bungie has 3 million players to work with if they need help with that, Including me. =P Also YES! Rewards for dwelling into these stories would be a good incentive for people to get involved and may even pull them in enough to get them contributing =)

I agree. I'm a bit concerned of late though. I'm beginning to think there was a story framework developed early on, but it was largely abandoned, and the story element of Destiny became an after though - at best "reserved for future use". I don't think it's high on their list of priorities. If they think a few more strike missions are going to save this universe I think they're greatly mistaken.

Indeed, I think (Assuming by your responses) The Story that was advertised was what caught your attention for Destiny, as it was mine aswell. In the end, this is what happens when everyone thinks that Story is irrelevant and pride, Being overly competitive, spiting in everyone faces as you defeat them in PVP and being max rank is more important for a "Universe" then character development. =(:::::

100% Don't get me wrong. I've enjoyed the game and feel I got my money worth, but I just feel this could have been epic. Something I would invest years into. Having discussion with people like yourself about an interesting side story you came across after accidentally falling into a hole and finding a guardian deserter there...and who gives you food for thought. I live in hope that this might eventuate in time.

I could literally quote that -.- So true, Took the words right out of my mouth, well. From a metaphorical perspective I mean :3

Sorry - talking about destiny story. I think fan fiction is great and fosters investment in that universe. Just think we need something meaty to start from
