Would you like to reforge gear?
_____It would be nice to be able to go to Banshee and Roni and spend [b]Motes of Light[/b] to reroll random stats on your armor and weapons. It would make each piece of gear different between players, and make the game more unique.
_____This idea, would give players the choice to spend the [b]MoL[/b] with Xur for an Exotic engram, or go to Banshee to reforge armor or Roni to reforge weapons.
What do you guys think? Would it be cool to see in an update, or too Overpowered/Unbalanced?

I would absolutely love to see this in the FUTURE. I think bungie has to much on their plate at the moment to look into improvement ideas.

We should be able to do this on armor. I would much rather have the agility perk on a piece of armor instead of a weapon. Another thing is we should be able to add an extra ability to both armor and weapons.

1 ReplyThe Gunsmith is just about totally useless. We should be able to go to him and get him to reassign weapon perks. Random is fine as long as the cost - whatever it is - isn't ridiculous. It would be nice to have a use for Glimmer, though. Motes of Light come in too short supply.

Or transmod. If you own two pieces of gear; One you like for the cosmetics, the other you like the for the stats, you can go to a work bench in the game and trade out appearance and stats between gear.

I'm up for this idea but there needs to be some serious costs otherwise it will be too easy for those who have been stacking currency. This could be an amazing addition as long as it is implemented with balance and fairness to all players in mind.

Bump. Also the Discipline, Intellect and Strength stats should be reforged (Dont know it thats already in there)

Yes. This is already coming for Iron Banner Gear. Expect to see it for other gear once the kinks are worked out.
