Also the patch didn't work the way they said it would because I have still brought engrams to the Cryptarch and had them decode into lower items, blue to green, purple to blue, and so on. As far as I can tell their patch didn't even work.

I've had Blue to Green but not Purple to Blue since the patch hit

I had purple last night from VoG and it down graded to blue rocket launcher :)

mine have definitely positively downgraded from blue engrams to green engrams way after the patch, but I'm not sure about purple legendary engrams downgrading to blues

The patch works. Lol.

Only way your purple became blue was if you hung onto one from before patch. Otherwise it didn't happen. Purple are always purple. Read description before decoding and it will help you with your expectations.

I have definitely had blues downgrade to greens when decrypted well after the patch

Well believe it. It takes forever to get purple drops so I don't know if they still downgrade or not, but I do know blues still downgrade for me like they always did.
