Gunslinger is crap damage against final boss. Compared to a leveled sniper rifle. However the gunslinger super is great against oracles and or assisting the the relic holder take out the praetorian or one of the snipers if he has moved out of range of the relic holders attack so he doesn't get killed by the sniper still standing.

If you use your super against a boss with the intention of dealing damage then you have not understood the game you are playing.

Sadly I think that's what they intended or make you think you are supposed to do because of the unlimited super timer. But weapons do more damage if they have heavy single shot damage with decent range. Hand cannons, snipers, scout rifles.
