Better yet have a raid vendor in the tower who only sells gear. You get a certain number of tokens for each checkpoint you pass. Then we can save up to buy the gear from our crappy luck. This system is already in place with xur and vanguard/crucible marks, why not the raid? #feedback

  • there would be a 200 coin cap gear would cost 180 and you'd get 400 coins a raid that you couldn't use and no gear lmao. that's how shits worked thus far.

  • I had considered that but the game designers have pretty much established that raid gear will only be acquired from the raid lottery and I do not think we are going to get them to change their minds. I do agree with a system that awards you with success, which is where most of my, and others, frustration comes from, but after trying to see if from their perspective (I could not to be honest) I decided that this was the best approach, at least I can cut the time down for having to wait to play through another chance at the loot lottery.

  • Wow. I did not know they won't change that. So the only way to get to 30 is luck with no hope of a merit based system. That's the most ass backwards thing. Ever.

  • Welcome to the Loot Lottery. I have another topic (see the OP) that opens up a path using the faction ranks to introduce a merit/award system that would not replace, but rather offer an alternative, to the current loot lottery system. I know of quite a few people that have rage-quit due to nothing more than their luck (or lack thereof) and without a means to get around it I can see that happening much more. The other topic also puts some real emphasis on reputation leveling and selecting a faction. This idea has been brewing for some time now, and it just did not fit into my other topic and I could not help but get it out here.
