It also depends on what job he ends up doing. If the theatre of action doesn't call for his skills then his chances of being deployed are extremely low. However if he winds up just being a general infantryman or any other standby ready units, the chances of deployment are high. Although some of those guys live for that kinda shit

It's war, nothing about it is going to be ok. But if we do go to war again instead of fighting a war to save face lets fight a war to win the war, then worry about the political fall out. The reason why the war in Iraq didn't go so well is because people who lived comfortably in the U.S. saw what we had to do in Iraq and basically handcuffed out military to the point where they couldn't do their job. According to the ROE's (Rules of Engagement) in place towards the end of the war, if someone was to come into your home, shoot and kill your entire family and then put his gun down, you can't harm him. That is the equivalent of what the ROE's became. Let our men and women in uniform do their job, and don't criticize them over it. It could have been you over there, They're already under enough stress and danger, there's no need for those at home to put more stress on them

I may not be proud of the crimes i would have to commit but I would be proud of the sacrifice that I made to get there. Some one has to do it..

Exactly. I'm not so sure about the 1% thing we got told of the whole population enlisting but not many people are willing to do what needs to be done. Only downside is meeting the grunts who think if you're not infantry than you're not shit. Every mos counts.
