That is an interesting theory, but I think it is actually just a farming issue. After the original loot cave was nerfed, some people were using the rocketyard as the new loot cave. I don't think a nerf was necessary for this as it was not nearly as popular as the old loot cave, I've only seen someone farming there once.

  • Honestly rather than nerfing spawns, bungie should probably rethink their loot system works. When a lvl 2-8 fallen or hive can drop the same level equipment with the same chance of rare/legendary then why would people want to go do a strike playlist or weekly or nightfall? Haven't seen that one myself, though it does explain why a lvl30 through a grenade at me the other day, (was doing circuits doing chests, spin metal and kills for the kill 3 with super). On the other hand have seen many potential 'loot caves' as well, some that i have even used if my loot appears to have been less than satisfying. Those caves should keep their original spawn rates, they added to the atmosphere of fallen vs hive warfare. What bungie should do is increase/improve the quality loot drops in high level missions and strikes. But alas, changing a timer is the simpler fix. Cosmodrome will soon be a wasteland with more guardians than enemies at the rate its going.

  • The reason they did it that way, is because they wanted you being a high level to be able to play with a friend or someone that was a lower level, with out making the encounters so easy that the high level player was the only one doing anything, while also not making it so the higher level player couldn't benefit from helping the lower player. And they said they made strikes etc more rewarding when they patched out the loot cave, and it does seem like I get a few more engrams doing strikes, but I also seem to get a lot doing bounties just killing everything. What I think is they need to add a level 30 strike playlist, up the difficulty and increase the amount of legendary engrams you can get from doing the level 30 strikes.

  • I'm starting to think this is the way guardians will ultimately triumph over the forces of darkness. Each spawn point will eventually be nerfed one by one until the enemy is completely gone. I agree, high level strikes should be made more rewarding. I also think they should increase the amount of enemies in all other areas so they are just as fun. As it is, most areas are just boring because of how few enemies there are.

  • I've seen quite a lot of farmers pointing their guns at the Fallen spawn room in the corner. I always seem to interrupt someone when I'm on chest runs around there.

  • That was my go to spot for the queens 100 fallen headshot bounty, but I just bounced between there and the area where the servitor or 2 majors spawned. 5 sec run between and they spawned really quick. Still go there for the 10 fallen majors bounty.

  • i use the 3 hive majors under the steppes for their bounty they spawn in a few seconds and you don't have to go far before they respawn.
