Explain the Mormon explanation of Africans, and the Church's general opinion of them.
English
-
We believe that man was created in god's image. We all look different in our own ways. The way we deal with these differences is personal, but the church invites people of all ethnicities to join us.
-
Only since 1978. And, that's not what the Book of Mormon says.
-
What chapter does it say otherwise?
-
2 Nephi 5:21
-
That was a curse put on people for not heeding to the words of nephi.
-
A curse of dark skin.
-
Edited by Whitkip: 10/13/2014 12:21:25 AMYeah. That was their curse.
-
So, black people are cursed and enemies of Elohi? Totally not racist at ALL.
-
Darker skin does not mean African or black. They got darker skin as their curse
-
Darker skin means not white
-
Yes I realize this
-
So, only not white people aren't good at salvation? Still a tad racist
-
A curse put on people who did wrong. Nowhere does it say people other than white are "bad"
-
Dark-skinned people=not white=cursed=bad FIRST RULE OF ALGEBRA If a=b=c, then a=c Not white=bad
-
YOU JUST SAID THAT!
-
Yes and that's my answer. Why do you keep bringing it up if that is the answer?
-
Because you deny it is racist, yet say that people who aren't white are enemies of Elohi.
-
Ok let me spell it out. THAT GROUP OF PEOPLE DID NOT LISTEN TO GOD. THE CURSE WAS DARKER SKIN Never did I say that black people were "bad" or are not as good as white people. That was their personal punishment from God.
-
So, colored people (as your people would say it) are enemies of Elohi, but they are equal to white folk (also, as your people would say it).
-
No just that group of people that were cursed.
-
Or "white and delightsome" as the Book of Mormon describes the whites (that somehow existed in America after traveling from the MIDDLE EAST, and being the descendant of Lehi (just like the darker skinned natives we all know and genocided to death), which doesn't happen in a few generations.
