It doesn't make much of a difference with higher level characters. Another point is identifying a person's abilities through their armor. If someone has the crest of Alpha Lupi, or Helm of Inmost Light I'd want to know just by looking at them.

That's what "Inspect" is for. We should be able to fully customize our appearance.

If also those items are Exotic they can exclude that is if it really matters after all those items don't even change colour with the shader either.

I agree. I love the looks of the lower level titan gear. Not so much with the warlocks.

What annoys me about the Warlock gear is half our legendary styles are just fancier versions of the dumbest-looking newbie gear. Eclipse Maw IV is probably my favorite helmet in the game though.
