It seems that Bungie stretched it to the limit just to give us this meager amount of content. Although your idea is a good one IMO, it will never be implemented.

I'd like to think that this is just the foundation that they will be building on top of. But I sure am pessimistic about how the house will look in the end...

I disagree they got the big hurdles at the way now. So they have a good foundation to build off patrol story quests could easily be done in a dlc update.
