I don't see how you're having this problem. I'm also a27 and I've had a blue hand cannon, yet I've done very well. I haven't gone negative (knock on wood) out of maybe 9 games so far. It's really no different than crucible. Basically, positioning is everything, and so is timing. Yeah, titans can probably one shot you, but don't expect (as a hunter, which I am) to go toe to toe unless you get him partially below health. Simply put, I love it so far (Iron Banner) because it definitely shows the skill in each player, especially those without maxed gear

Look at my armory, and my stats (kdr etc). I focus not so much on where enemies are, and running there asap to die (unless im drunk or tired) and more on predicting where they'll be. I feel the hand cannon is better for hunters, since we're always on the move, and it takes less shots to kill. I also have a really shitty one now, with only a 5 round clip, and I still manage. I managed to get a 3.6 kdr just yolo'ing it too, so don't think your current situation is your fated situation. You can do better, and if you need help, my GT: is xi TheGodfather on xbox one
