I live on a back road in the sticks. We get like one trick or treeter every other year, if that. This month only ever served as a warning that Christmas is coming back when I worked retail. Plus, shitty baseball starts playing over every other TV show. And it starts getting cold. October sucks.

I just love the energy of the season, the open acceptance of all things horrifying and dark, and just the atmosphere of mystery that I sense. And I love the cold, it can't get here soon enough. From your perspective, I can see why you may dislike this month.
