What's wrong with having a set team to raid with? And by set I mean a predetermined team, a team you set up before you enter the lobby. A friend of mine and I wanted to do the vault but we were four people short. What did we do? We searched online. Took 2 hours granted but we got us a team, jumped straight into the raid and 3 hours later came out with exotics and legendaries and upgrade materials. I wouldn't complain on a matchmaking option for raid because a set team can obviously still enter but, just a tip while you're waiting for (if they will) patch in raid matchmaking. It's possible to do it :)

If it takes two hours, how does that not scream "this is broken, and matchmaking would fix it" to you? Matchmaking could take one hour, and it would be twice as good as that.

And the 2 hours of searching is the minimum amount of time you can search before your start time for your event. At least for the site we used. Dont use that anymore cause i raid with roughly the same people each week nowadays.

I didnt say it wasn't broken. I was just sharing my story of how i found a team (and thanks to that i have a group of people i play destiny with) by searching online. We have had times that the raid was bugged as shit. I just dont see why its such a problem for people to just set up a team. Who knows, it could lead to something awesome which lasts. I will end this reply by saying what I said earlier: I wouldn't mind matchmaking in raid but as it is currently, i dont mind it either.

Fair enough. You say you searched online, but gave no specifics. I assume google isn't your matchmaking replacement tool of choice?

Haha no. He site is called True Achievements. As I understand, it is primarily for finding people to do achievements with but since there is an achievement for doing a raid in destiny, we used that to find a team. Im sure there are other and better ways to find a team but what is most efficient is to roll with the same people each week. My friend and I were lucky to get a chill group first try in vog and we added two ofbthem as friends. Then we gamed a lot together and met more people, and now we have a group of people we all know and game with. Good stuff ;)
