LoL ...Haven't you learned? When you discover a good means of farming, only share it with your friends and/ or keep it as an "FYI" to yourself...otherwise, it gets nerfed. I have become very good at chest farming all planets. As for farming in general? The best is just to play normal, and higher difficulty stuff. Farming drops in this game has pretty much been nerfed to the point where, the only feasible way to get a good drop, is by completing raids/ night strikes. For instance, I have played every single day since they patched their loot system, and I have yet to get an actual purple "drop." I have been awarded only 4 purples between leveling up my rep with the cryptarch, vanguard and Dead Orbit...but that's about it...and 3 of those were items for other classes; a Titan helmet, Titan chest armor and Hunter's cloak... lol [url][/url]

I get purple and exotic drops often. Matter of fact, I probably get one exotic weapon bounty each week. Got one this morning too.

thats because you are not supposed to farm play the game the way they intended you to play it complete bounties do missions and dailys weeklys queens wrath and the crucible ive had no issue getting gear or anything for that matter before or after the patch i see a lot of purple and gold

I just wrote a forum post addressing the same issue. Sure, the whining and complaining has stopped, but the consequence is that there's now less engrams overall. Less engrams means less cryptarch rank. Less cryptarch rank means less cryptarch packages. Less packages means less legendary engrams. So a functional system got patched to quell the whining from a bunch of people. Meanwhile, the developers have yet to use their limited resources to make the game world better. I know a lot of people who think it would be nice to be able to go straight to the tower from any planet. How bout being able to skip those cutscenes?

So its not just me then, I haven't seen a purple drop since the patch. I have only seen two purple engrams from the tiger playlist since aswell.
